JEE Main is an entry-level exam with a lower level of difficulty. It comprises of two papers. The Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other prestigious institutions. It is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admissions to IITs. The Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch. and B. Planning courses.
JEE Advanced
JEE Advanced is conducted every year by one of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. The decisions of the JAB will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) and admission to IITs.
The examination consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of three hours duration and will be held as per the following schedule:
Both the papers are compulsory. The exam will be held in fully computer-based test mode.
The schedule will remain the same even if the day of examination is declared a public holiday
