NEET (UG) or The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is an all India pre-medical entrance test for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS) and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in government and private institutions in India and also, for those intending to pursue primary medical qualification abroad. The exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), which provides the results to the Directorate General of Health Services under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and State Counselling Authorities for seat allocation. NEET-UG is a single entrance test for admissions to more than 66,000 MBBS and BDS seats across India. The languages in which NEET (UG) 2021 would be conducted are: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. 

The Result of NEET (UG) may be utilized by other Entities of Central and State Governments, in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The result data may also be utilized for B.Sc. (H) Nursing courses in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The NEET (UG) result data could also be used for admissions to BVSc & AH courses under the 15% quota of VCI in recognized Veterinary Colleges.

  • Candidate Should have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course. The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination.
  • The class 12 percentage required for NEET  exam is separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects :

  1. UR – 50%,
  2. OBC/SC/ST – 40%,
  3. PWD – 45%
